Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $200,000 to the World Heart Federation to support a congress on rheumatic heart disease (RHD) that will bring together researchers and practitioners to share and discuss research related to RHD. This will include group A streptococcus vaccine research, which our team believes is one of the most promising approaches to reducing the burden of RHD.

This falls within our work on global health and wellbeing.
