Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $2,585,990 over five years to the University of Pennsylvania to support Professor Kotaro Sasaki’s research on converting stem cells into male germ cells.
This work will help advance our basic understanding of how the human body generates spermatozoa and their progenitor cells and may contribute to the development of new infertility treatments.
This follows our December 2022 support and falls within our focus area of scientific research, specifically within our interest in advancing human health and wellbeing.
