Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $275,000 to the University of Pennsylvania to support a team led by Professor Philip Tetlock to develop a detailed plan for a possible large-scale forecasting tournament, to improve understanding of how to elicit accurate forecasts about distant and sometimes hard-to-define events.
