Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $4,563,250 to the University of Connecticut Health Center to support work by Kelly Hawley and Melissa Caimano on the development of a vaccine for syphilis.
Hawley and Caimano are participating in a collaborative project with David Baker, Neil King, and Lorenzo Giacani at the University of Washington, as well as Anastassia Vorobieva at the Flanders Institute for Biotechnology. (See “Related Items”, below.)
