Open Philanthropy recommended a gift of $120,000 to Stanford University to support a workshop on the economic and societal impacts of transformative AI. One of the organizers was the Stanford Digital Economy Lab at the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence, which Erik Brynjolfsson currently leads.

This falls within our focus area of potential risks from advanced artificial intelligence.
