The Open Philanthropy Project recommended that Cari Tuna personally contribute $850,000 to Real Justice PAC for general support on criminal justice reform work. Real Justice intends to use these funds to develop tools and infrastructure as it seeks to raise the profile of key prosecutor and sheriff races in 2018 and elect reform-minded candidates who will work to safely reduce the number of people incarcerated in their jurisdictions. The funds were distributed to an account that is limited to work outside of California.
This is a renewal of our May 2018 support, and falls within our focus area of criminal justice reform.
