The Open Philanthropy Project recommended a grant of $50,000 to the NFL Players Coalition Charitable Foundation to support criminal justice reform efforts. Members of the players coalition have been vocal supporters of criminal justice reform work, writing op-eds, participating in prosecutor candidate forums, and working with communities to push for changes that will ensure better safety and representation for people impacted by crime and incarceration.
This is a discretionary grant and falls within our focus area of criminal justice reform.
