Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $2,178,700 to Apollo Research for general support. Apollo Research is a research organization that develops evaluations to test the alignment and safety of AI models, with a focus on capability evaluations, interpretability research, and governance.

This follows our June 2023 support and falls within our focus area of potential risks from advanced artificial intelligence.
