Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $115,000 to the Surge Network to support faith-based organizing for criminal justice reform. The Surge Network is a Phoenix-based network of evangelical churches working to mobilize evangelical Christians of color. This funding is intended to support work to recruit and train church members to organize for issues related to criminal justice reform.
