Peter leads our grantmaking program on technical AI safety. Previously, he oversaw our global catastrophic risks cause prioritization research team and advised Open Phil leadership on strategic decisions about resource allocation.
Prior to joining Open Philanthropy, Peter was a graduate student at the London School of Economics and a researcher at Stanford and MIT Sloan, focusing on the economics of public goods. Before that, he worked at Bridgewater Associates’ Systemized Intelligence Lab and research department. Peter has an MSc in Economics from LSE and a bachelor’s degree in Public Policy from Princeton.
