Program Assistant, AI Governance and Policy

Javier joined Open Philanthropy in 2021. His work supports Luke Muehlhauser’s grantmaking in the area of AI governance and policy. He’s been involved in effective altruism since 2018, especially through his local community in Spain. He holds a double BSc in Physics and Mathematics and, prior to joining Open Philanthropy, he interned at CERN and worked as a freelance “mathy tech person” for two years.
