Jake joined Open Philanthropy in November 2024, where he works on identifying promising research opportunities for mitigating catastrophic risks from advanced AI. Previously, he worked as an Intepretability Research Scientist at Apollo Research, and did independent research in AI safety and in pandemic modelling. He received a Bachelors in Physics and a Masters in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge.
