Evan joined Open Philanthropy’s team in January 2025. He has worked in various roles across higher education, and taught English both in the Czech Republic and South Korea. He graduated from Illinois State University with a BA in English, and from Indiana University South Bend with an MA in English and a concentration in creative writing. A poetry enthusiast, Evan currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Haiku Society of America.
