Claire joined Open Philanthropy in August 2015 as a Research Analyst and went on to lead our Global Catastrophic Risks Capacity Building team. She also oversaw the Biosecurity and Pandemic Preparedness team twice — first in 2018-2019, and again in 2023-2024. Claire has a B.S. and M.S. in Earth Systems from Stanford University. Claire is currently on leave from Open Philanthropy.
